2018 Plan Change Reminders
If you take prescriptions regularly, here’s good news! The prescription drug out-of-pocket maximum is now reduced to $2,350 (formerly it was $4,150). After you pay this amount in copays and coinsurance for covered prescriptions, the Health Plan pays 100% of the allowed amount for the rest of the year.
As a reminder, beginning January 1, 2018:
- The Active Plan annual deductible is $500/person, $1,500/family.
- The Active Plan medical out-of-pocket maximum for covered services from participating providers and facilities is $5,000/person, $10,000/family.
- The Retiree Plan (Plans 1 & 2) annual deductible is $500/person, and the medical out–of-pocket maximum is $5,000/person.
Please continue to keep costs down for yourself and the Trust by choosing preferred providers, asking for generic medications and getting preventive care.
