Start Moving Again

Real relief from arthritis pain.

Arthritis is a leading cause of disability, and causes pain, aching, stiffness, and swelling of the joints. It can make it difficult to do everyday activities, like holding a coffee cup, picking up a bag of groceries, or walking a few blocks.

Although being active is the last thing a person with arthritis pain wants to do, working with a physical therapist can significantly improve your quality of life by decreasing joint pain, improving flexibility, and strengthening muscles.

Virtual physical therapy through Hinge Health is an effective, convenient option available through your Health Plan at no cost to you and your enrolled dependents 18 years and older. Here’s how it works:

  • A physical therapist creates a personalized plan based on your needs, goals, and ability. As you progress, your therapist will modify the plan to improve your mobility.
  • ‍You’ll do three 15-minute sessions per week following the digital program on the Hinge Health app. As you do the exercises, you’ll receive real-time feedback to ensure you do the movements correctly.
  • ‍A health coach provides motivation and support to help you reach your goals. Connect anytime via text, email, phone call, or video chat.

Whether it’s arthritis pain, or any kind of joint, back, or muscle pain, Hinge Health can help. Learn more about additional programs under Medical and Behavioral Health Benefits.
